Nursery

Learn & Play Kindergarten Course (2.5 hours)

(Suitable for 2-4 years old)

The course is led by qualified and professional kindergarten teachers, based on the school's regular syllabus, enriches the content on the original topics, and encourages children to learn with the IB teaching model.

The course will be taught in Biliteracy and Trilingualism ​​(Chinese - Mandarin/Cantonese & English), and teachers will encourage children to try new things through different activities, such as interactive games, singing and playing, storytelling and muscle training, so as to cultivate children's interest in learning. In the classroom, children can learn to communicate and get along with others, which can help children to be a team player and improve their social skills.

There are morning classes and afternoon classes. There will be a break during the class. Children need to bring their own water bottles and spare clothes (shirts, pants, underwear, socks and masks).

In each class, there are six different sessions:
1. Warm up time
2. Language Class (English/Chinese)
3. Mathematics
4. Recess/Break
5. Music/Art/Science/Physical Fitness
6. Story time (English/Mandarin/Cantonese)

Max. 8 students per class
The teaching staff includes English teachers, Chinese teachers, teaching assistants and cleaners

English Fun Time

(Suitable for PN or K1 students)

An enrichment English program for kindergarten students. Taught by experienced English playgroup teachers, with a relaxed and pleasant activity teaching mode, children can learn freely in an English environment, enhance their self-confidence in using English, and lay a solid foundation for later learning phonics, reading and writing.

  • English learning environment. Class led by a native English teacher.

  • Thematic teaching, strengthen English ability, and cultivate children's reading habits.

  • The curriculum focuses on the needs of children's sensory integration development.

  • Through different games, stories and activities, they are immersed in the English-speaking world.

  • Prepare for school life without parental accompaniment.

English Nursery Program

(Suitable for children aged 18-36 months)

Our UNI-IB Nursery programme is based on the IB-Early Years curriculum that recognizes learner’s innate potential to inquire, question, wonder and theorize about themselves, others, and the world around them. Our main goal and aim is to encourage children use their initiative to take responsibility and ownership of their own learning. 

 

This course is taught by foreign teachers and the content of the course will cover the following topics:

 

- Maths (Number, Shape, Space and Measurement)

- Music (Explore musical instruments and Creation)

- Science (Understanding the world and Technology)

- Physical (Moving, Handling, Health and Self Care)

- Literacy (English, Vocabulary, Reading and Writing)

- Communication and language (Listening, Paying attention, Understanding and Speaking)

- Personal, Social and Emotional skills

- Social, Personal & Emotional development

- Self Management

- Critical Thinking
